The brief

‘Mumblephone’ - Create a fun animation based on a voicemail recording of Lagunitas patrons’ philosophical musings, or rather ‘mumblings’, inspired by fine beer(s)…

My contribution

Creative concept / art direction, character / bg design, animation, composit and edit. I started out with an idea to bookend the animation with a design based on an illuminated manuscript (see storyboards), and then got a great note to use the Lagunitas branded mason jar instead, which unified the whole piece a lot more.
